I only knew her for nine short years but she influenced my life in many wonderful ways. Ty's Grandma Fordham...or Grandma Fay as we called her passed away on Sunday the 17th and yesterday was her funeral. She led a full and happy life. She and her husband (who passed away 17 years ago) loved to go rock hunting and Grandma Fay especially loved gems. A wise man once said about women "You are all heaven sent. You are the beautiful adornment of the human race." Grandma Fay was one of the most rare and precious gems that I have found....her "adornment of the human race" was profoundly beautiful and breathtaking. She always made people feel at ease and always made you feel like you were the most important and special person that she knew. Her words of wisdom and kindness will echo through my life. Hopefully I will be able to emulate her life in some small way and pass on to my children what she gave to me. She leaves behind a many wonderful children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly but who, with her example to follow, look forward to the day when we will see that soft smile and hear that sweet voice again.
