Well here are some pictures from our big camping trip at the first of the summer (before the morning sickness hit). We traveled down to Southern Utah for a family reunion. It was really nice. One day we hiked into some falls called Calf Creek falls. The kids did amazingly well up until the last 1/2 mile on the way back. It wasn't a really hard hike but it was a bit long for them and very hot.

These first two pictures are taken from the road above the hiking trail...a road called "Hogs Back" kind of a scary place to drive. If you look down and see the green in amongst the desert that is pretty much the trail we followed.

These are pictures of Calf Creek Falls. It really is an oasis in the desert. All along the trail it is very hot and dusty and dry and then you come to the falls and there is shade and the temperature drops dramatically. There is a small sandy beach and a little lagoon for nice cooling wade or swim.

This was taken at the beginning of the hike. The area that we hiked through had a lot of sandstone. There is even a place where if you look across the canyon you can see petroglyph's on the canyon wall. It was cool.

Well there's some pictures for you. We had a really nice time. We wanted to do more camping this summer but with the pregnancy and all it just hasn't panned out. Oh well the kids are excited to have a baby brother/sister on the way so I guess that makes up for it.
