Jona's testing went well. I think he missed 5 or 6 but the rest he knew right away. I had to fill in the little circles for him so he would point to the answer that he wanted and I would fill it in. Being there did remind me just how much I hated the end of the year testing in school. You could never (or very rarely) go at your own pace. You always had to wait for the teacher to read the questions and then you had to wait until everyone in the class had answered the question before you moved on. Ty said something about the teachers having to test each child separately in some of the grades and about how the teachers were seriously upset about that. I can understand that they don't want to lose that time that they could be teaching but I think that testing each child separately is a better way to go. Too bad they couldn't have the parents come in and do the testing....unfortunately I don't think that all parents can be trusted or that all parents even want to be that involved with their child's education. I would like to have an end of the year party for Jona's class. They have been so great with him and I can't tell you how wonderful it's been not to have to worry about the kids being mean to him. I am still trying to decide if we have the funds or if I have the energy to take something like that on.
Last night at dinner one of Jona's teeth broke. It is one that is already loose but the part that is still in there is still fairly attached. It looks like we will be going in for an extraction sometime soon.
And finally....is there anyone out there that cannot stand those dang Target commercials??? I would like to take the ad exec that came up with those and do something mean to her/him. They annoy me to no end!

I took Jona to the dentist this morning because we were worried about some of his teeth not coming out. The dentist told me that if that if they haven't fallen out on their own within two weeks to they will have to be extracted. Not something I'm looking forward to so I told Jona to keep on wiggling them.
We also had some plumbing problems. Saturday night, late, our drain decided to back up. Luckily I was able to keep the water level down so it just soaked some dirty clothes on the floor of the laundry room. One of my brothers is a plumber but unfortunately not the right kind. He didn't have the equipment that was needed to take care of a clog in the main line. He told me he knew someone that he could have come over but I didn't dare have a plumber come in on a Sunday....way too expensive. Luckily we could still flush the toilets and such. It was just too much for the drain when I would do a load of laundry....and I have a ton of laundry to do. So anyway my brother called this guy first thing this morning and he came over around 1:30 in the afternoon. There was a certain part of the pipe that was really hard for him to get the "snake" through. He told me to get my brother to see if he could get his boss to lend him a camera that they can snake through and see where or what the problem is. It ended up costing $59. Not bad...I'm just glad that I decided to wait, I can't imagine what it would have cost to have them come in on a Sunday.
Ty's mom called this afternoon to say that his grandmother (paternal) was back in the hospital. She had an irregular heartbeat that would correct itself so they had to stop her heart. It took them three tries to get it going again and thankfully it went back to a normal rhythm.
I am tired. I cleaned the house today. It really needed it. Ty is in California for a conference and I miss him. He gets back on Wednesday. Tomorrow I get to go and help Jona take his end of the year testing. I am going to take him to a place where just he and I can do the testing. He has a hard time not talking out during the practice tests and I know that there is no way that he will be able to fill in those little circles that they want them to fill in without going outside the lines...So I cleared it with the principle that I would have him tell me the answers and then I will fill in the circle. It should be interesting. Well I better be getting some sleep so I can be in a good mood tomorrow. Ciao.
