Tyran made it home last night. I am very happy to have him back. I have to tell you though that I had a moment last night that shoots up to the top of my most embarrassing of all time moments list. Ty's phone can receive text messaging so I had been communicating with him in that way a few times while he was down there. He responded but he failed to tell me that he was responding on a co workers phone because his doesn't send out text messages. I didn't really pay attention to the address because it was all just numbers anyway. SO as he is waiting at the airport I decide to send him a slightly "racey" text message to let him know that I missed him. Well since I replied to the last email I sent it to the co workers phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ACK ACK ACK!!!! I didn't realize this until that night as we were getting ready for bed I asked Ty if he got my last message....because he certainly wasn't acting like he had. He looked at me and said "What message?" Then he proceeds to tell me that I sent it to Andy's phone and not his. All I could do was laugh. I told Ty to apologize profusely to Andy (and his wife) for me. I still can't believe what a doofus head I was. ANd although we don't think that the whole message went through we still aren't 100 % sure so....Like I said that rockets right up to the top of "My most embarrassing of all time moments".

I finished The Nanny diaries the same day I got it. Its a good book. There is a hilarious scene where Nanny is forced to dress as a purple teletubby and has to get in and out of a limo...I laughed really hard. This book also make me glad that I wasn't a nanny to the rich. Yikes! Scary stuff.

Okay and what is up with people looking for rainbow vaccuums and coming to my site? If you are looking for a review. I really enjoy my rainbow but you do have to take it in each year to have it cleaned which costs $50. And I did just get a note saying that the filter doesn't last forever and they were trying to get me to buy a new filter. Does that help at all???? I hope so!

I had a dentist appointment this morning to get a permanent crown put on one of my back teeth. I have been living with a temporary for a little over two months. I got there and the dentist put the crown on. Unfortunately it didn't fit. So they had to make a mold for a new one. That stuff that they do that with is SO nasty. Anyway the dentist gave me a mirror and showed me what was wrong. He said that he could just leave it but that it would "leak" from the get go. It really made me like him even more. He could have put that thing on and never said a word to me about it and I probably wouldn't have known any different. But he told me that even though he could have put it in he wouldn't because he won't put in sub-standard work. That is pretty great. In this day and age when people tend to do under par workmanship on everything but still charge top dollar (my dentist is not charging me for the remold and new crown) and expect to get away with it, it makes me happy to know that there are still good people out there who take pride in what they do. I am especially glad that my dentist is one of those good people :0)

Tyran has been down in Arizona for the past four days. He gets home tomorrow night. I miss him. Single parenting is hard and I know that it is only going to last a week and that at the end of the week my husband will be back by my side. My hat goes off to the people who have to struggle through parenting by themselves.

The library called yesterday to let me know that The Nanny Diaries: A Novel was waiting for me. Woo Hoo! This looks like a really great book. I wanted to be a nanny when I was a senior in high school but told my mom that if I got a scholarship to college that I would go. Amazingly enough I was offered Track and Field scholarships to a few different schools. I threw the shot put and the discus back in the day. I wonder what my kids will think of that? LOL! I can just hear the conversations ending in disbelief on their part now. Luckily I have pictures and a lettermans jacket to prove it. LOL! Well I am off to read about nannies in NY and the eccentric families that they work for.

Oh yeah as I was at the dentist office I read in "People Magazine" about a book called Hannah's Gift. Has anyone read this? It sounds really good. I think that will be next on the list.
