I got up this morning and did a.m. yoga with Ty. It wasn't too bad except that my body wasn't quite sure what to make of me being awake at such an unearthly hour. I am hoping to keep at it because I do think that it will help my back. I also moved the furniture in the front room today. It's been months since I have rearranged. Sometimes I feel like the room can only be really clean if I move everything around. Silly I know but that's just the way I am. I even moved the book cases. Not far, mind you. They used to be in the corners but I pulled them a little further along the wall into the room and made them parallel with the East wall. I think that it looks nice. The only problem is if I want to move the couch back along the East wall I have to undertake moving the bookcases again. The kids were very helpful today. We picked up their rooms and then they got to vacuum. They thought that this was ultra cool. Jona did a wonderful job with his room so it looks like this will be his area of expertise from now on. McKenna isn't quite big enough to maneuver the vacuum very well but she did pretty darn good too. It helps that the floor space in her room is fairly limited.

Not too much going on here today. It snowed last night and it is still pretty cold. I think Jona is getting tired of being here instead of in school. I would think about sending him back tomorrow but they are doing a jump for the heart thing and I don't want him to participate so soon after coming back from the pox and I know that he will be upset if he can't be there and jump rope.

I have been working on getting the kids' scrapbooks caught up to date. I just finished up with McKenna's, I still have some pictures from Christmas for Jona and George, well.....George's book isn't quite that up to date. Right now I am finishing up with a trip to the zoo that we took last year for McKenna's birthday. It was Sept. 2nd.Looking at the pictures of life before September 11th can be pretty tough. Especially so close before that day. I look at them and think.... "We had no idea what was coming." It brings tears to my eyes and I wonder what lies ahead.

On a lighter note McKenna is getting a bit upset that she doesn't have the chicken pox yet. Has anyone ever had the chance to see the episode of Arthur on PBS, where Arthur gets the chicken pox and D.W. wants them. Well if you get a chance watch it and you will know pretty much what I am going through right now. McKenna come to me at least once a day saying that she just knows she has the chicken pox because "I felt one" She even asks in her prayers that she will get them. This little girl is going to be mightily upset if she happens to have a natural immunity. *sighing and shaking my head ever so slightly* I don't know how we will explain it to her. I've already tried a couple of times but she just isn't buying into it that she might not get them.

I guess I should let you all know about Jona's appointment that was supposed to have been yesterday. We had to postpone it to the 25th because Saturday Jona broke out with the chicken pox. Yep. We are now waiting to see if McKenna and George will come down with them. Jona's case is actually pretty light. We were able to get a hold of the doctor on call to prescribe some medication that makes the breakout less severe and it seems to have done the job. I know that there is a immunization shot out there for the pox but it was just coming out when Jona was little and I just wasn't comfortable giving him something that hadn't really been out on the market for a while. Plus I was hoping that I would pass on my natural immunity to my kids. Yes, you read right. I have a natural immunity to the chicken pox. I inherited it from my paternal grandmother. We double checked when I was pregnant with McKenna. I had a blood test done to make sure that the immunity was there just in case Jona came down with the pox while I was pregnant. If I wasn't immune that could have been bad, but the test was positive that I have that immunity....thank goodness. Ty got the pox when he was right about the same age as Jona and Ty's dad hadn't had them so he gave them to his dad and his dad got really sick. Glad that didn't happen here.
