My day so far

I woke up just after 12 in the morning with a bit of heartburn so I took some Tums. The heartburn then turned into me being seriously nauseated. Sat by the toilet for a while until it calmed down a bit. Got a little bit of sleep. Woke up and got Jona breakfast and off to school, late. Called the school to talk to them about Jona's lunch money. I gave him a check at the first of the week that should have covered this weeks lunches and he came home yesterday with a stamp on his hand which tells me that he needs more money. So I call to talk to the school about that and get told that he must have had some other lunches that hadn't been paid for so the check took care of those. What the...? If he had needed money earlier for his lunch then why didn't they put a stamp on his hand earlier? Anyway....go back to bed and lay down because I am still not feeling well. McKenna comes in crying saying "Mom I swallowed some pennies and it hurts." So I'm thinking "Do I take her to the ER? Should I worry about the copper content. I know that they most likely will just "pass" through her but I am still concerned. I don't have a car today...who could take me?" Try to call the Dr. to see if that is the thing to do and all the time McKenna is saying that it hurts her throat. So now I am thinking "What if the pennies haven't gone down all the way?" So since the Dr.'s office isn't picking up I dial 911 and say "My little girl came and told me that she swallowed some pennies and I don't know if I should take her to the ER. She says it still hurts her throat so I don't know if they are stuck half way down or what." The dispatcher says that they will send someone right out and try to keep McKenna calm because the dispatcher could hear her crying in the background. So I take McKenna upstairs to wait for the paramedics. We read a book and she stops crying. They show up and everything is fine but they have also dispatched an ambulance so the ambulance shows up. Not two seconds later a couple of my neighbors are there to make sure everything is okay. (I live in the best neighborhood!) They tell me to watch her for the next couple of days because there is always the chance that the pennies wont just "pass" and they could get lodged so to keep an eye out for any abdominal discomfort or constipation. Will do that. Phew. Call Ty and our Dr. to let them know what is up. Head back to bed. Get a call from Ty after lunch saying that our car, that was worked on about a week or two ago, needs to be seen again. The service engine soon light has come on after the car acted up at a stop sign. Now after lunch I am thinking..."Man it must be cold outside because the heater keeps kicking on." Get a call from my friend reminding me that they are coming to pick up George for a birthday party. We don't have a gift....will get one later. Get George ready to go. As I step out of the bathroom I look at the thermostat. It is almost 80 degrees in the house. One of the kids has moved the tab on the thermostat all the way up to 90 degrees. Turn the thermostat down. Get George sent off to the party. Came here and wrote it all down. What does the rest of the day hold in store? I don't want to know...I am going to go and crawl back in bed and hide for a little bit longer. Just until I have to get up and get dinner ready to take into my Grandmother tonight. Buh-bye!
