House Rules/OAK Lenses
From Westaven
The Order of Aenean Knights ("OAKs") are a military style organization and represented by using a lens (Chapters 7 {B258} and 15 {B445}) that can be taken by any character.
[edit] Aenean Knight Lense [15 Points]
Advantages [20]: Patron (OAKs, 9 or less) [15]; Reputation (Champions of law, order, and justice; +2 from commoners and merchants, large class; -2 from criminals and outlaws, large class; all the time) [0]; Status 2 [10]; Wealth (Comfortable) [10]
- The Rule authorizes up to 3 Squires (these are considered Dependants). And for the senior positions it authorizes a contingent of guards and a personal scribe.
- The Rule authorizes 1 palfrey (treat as a Saddle Horse {B460}), 1 warhorse (treat as a Calvary Horse {B459} or Heavy Warhorse {B460}), and 1 mule (treat as a Large Mule {B460}). This includes a Bit and Bridle, Saddle and Tack, and Stirrups. Warhorses come with Bit and Bridle, and Warsaddle instead. The knight is responsible for paying the cost of a lost or killed mount. Senior officers are authorized a greater number.
- The Rule authorizes issuance of 1 pair of Silver Spurs upon being elected to one of these Ranks: Commander of Knights; Under Marshal; or Special Envoy. These belong to the knight and to sell or lose them is a disgraceful act in the eyes of other OAKs, though not punishable or expected to be retrieved if lost in major combat.
- The Rule authorizes issuance of 1 pair of Golden Spurs upon being elected to one of these Ranks: Master Drapier and Herald; Master Receiver of the Common Treasure; Provincial Marshals; Magus; Marshal; and Marshal of the Council. These belong to the knight and to sell or lose them is a disgraceful act in the eyes of other OAKs, though not punishable or expected to be retrieved if lost in major combat.
- The Rule authorizes issuance of 1 Fine or Very Fine weapon of choice upon promotion to Seneschal or Grand Master.
