Also known as Fish Seide, "F'seide" or "'Seide" to the local salts, and "Faesiddex" in ancient Aenean.

This north Aeneus town was less than two decades ago a rather backwater fishing village, but as the borders with Pollexia were opened, trade here as boomed, and growth is great. While fishing still forms a major portion of the local economy--and now, even larger operations are docked there--tariffs on ocean trade routes have rivaled its dominance. Also, a minor, steady portion of coin is made in tourism, for the Oracle of Trin is less than 1.5 days' walk away.

The town is divided into three major sections: Upperton (aka, The Ledge), Middleton, and Bottomton (or, "The Bottoms" or "the docks"), each of which corresponds to both the elevation of the area and the wealth and status of the location. The upper town is mainly the noblemen and rich (as well as the Lord's Keep), the "bottoms" are the working class /sailor homes and establishments. There is some class animosity within Fish Side.

The town--almost "city", now--is ruled by the much-disliked Lord Archienioux, who has completed some public works recently (such as the barbican dividing off the upper from the middle town), although most such work has stopped as of early 985 AE. The populace believes--and perhaps rightly--that their resident royalty is squeezing them for the money.
