General Information/Misc/Lavindeed
From Westaven
This drink is some of the finest mead available. It is thick, sweet with honey, and yet has a pleasant, fresh aftertaste--like a spring morning air. The drinkis difficult to concoct, and--unlike most alcoholic beverages--it does not age well. It is thus a very expensive beverage, especially in the winter months when supplies are short.
Lavindeed is brewed with great care--and from a long, difficult, and precise recipe--by the master brewer monks of Baketis, whose monasteries are often surrounded by fields of specially raised lavender bushes for use in the process. Especially well-known for barrels of fine lavindeed is the monastery outside Piercy, south off the main road onto a two-track path heading east.
