General Information/Misc/Bramblewood
From Westaven
Bramblewood is a common, wild-growing brush in Westaven. It usually grows in small, dense patches, but is just as often seen creeping up trees or other shrubs. The older the plant, the denser and more interwoven the branches. Its branches have very small thorns. In spring and summer it yields small leaves which fall in autumn.
Because of its hardiness and density, bramblewood is a choice for defensive hedges in rural areas--usually to grow over "base" plants or trees--although because it is difficult to maintain, many villages choose other sources.
Truly ancient examples of bramblewood can grow to massive heights, blocking all vision, travel, and access. One example of this was discovered on the Trepindia Holy Isle on Nov. 10, 985.
