[edit] Description

A Mawk'hidu man in his early twenties. Slightly over five foot, four inches. Far from portly, he seems to constantly 'teeter' on the edge of gauntness. His ruddy skin -- a typical craggy, dry complexion -- small, dark-brown eyes, strong, white teeth, and small button nose, make for a fairly typical Mawkie face if not for that slight gauntness. A long crop of thin, fine black hair runs down in intricate braids, with a slickness to it from continual oiling. A somewhat long beard tied into a single 'intricate' braid, slightly puffy lips, and a sharply defined jaw round out his features. His clothing consists of airy britches and shirts in plain, earthy colors. A heavy brown cloak is worn for winters. His boots are sturdy, if worn and battered. The clothing has many pockets. His performance outfit is similar but with a riotous, garish clashing of color. Overall he seems no stranger to hard work. His expression shirts between pensive observation to a faintly disturbing grin that shows far too many teeth for the liking of most.

[edit] History

What the PC's know of Nak'hat so far: Our heroes first encountered the Mawk'hidu Nak'hat on Oct. 23, 985, when boarding the Manacle as it sailed for the Oracle of Trin. Nak'hat openingly admitted to those present that he was a performer and planned to ply his trade among the many pilgrims and visitors hoping for an audience with the Oracle. The Heroes soon discovered that despite his interest is expanding his talents to little travelled to lands, he had no stomach for sea travel and spent a miserable time at sea.

The Heroes further discover that the man was well spoken with an obvious tendency to be overly verbose and an odd habit of intruding upon the personal space of others. Nak'hat thinks little of invading the personal space, as the concept is a fairly alien one. Though he respects the request of Gereth to 'Get Back', he often slips back into this habit quite easily. With a witty tongue and a shrewd insight into others, Nak'hat knows how to insult another with the kindest of civility, and when to simply keep his mouth shut.

With an aversion to danger, Nak'hat would rather find a non violent solution to most problems, as he claims that any relationship with danger is best undertaken at great distances. A fair soul, willing to chip in for expenses, he has shown, most notably, a general tendency towards chicanery when it comes to those of greater than average wealth with his proposed scheme to sell less than honest magickal trinkets to the wealthy and jaded for pocket coin. The wealthy fool and his coin are soon parted ... especially when Nak'hat is nearby.

His self professed performances run the gambit from music played, songs sung, to stories told, though Nak'hat claims to be some sort of escapist and purveyor of acts to astound and amaze. Little else is known about the Mawk'hidu and if there is more to the travelling performer he does not seem the type to simply blurt his story out to anyone without rhyme or reason.
