Characters/NPCs/Piercy Thieves

Thieves who ambushed many merchants along the southern road to Piercy, including Shimtalk--even murdering his bodyguard companion, Borist.  In retribution, Shimtalk hired Davlin Hargold, Eaidig, Gelash and Yule to confront the bandits and either apprehend or kill them, which occurred on Sept. 27, 985; one of the thieves was killed and the other three were captured. (See also, "The Piercy Bandits Incident".)

"Tubby" (fat, pock faced man), "Sneer" (thin sneering man) and Tormby (teenageer) were taken to Piercy and turned over to Bailiff Tuckson on Sept. 30, 985; in the days that followed, Tubby and Sneer were beheaded, while Tormby was handed over to Gharvsmin as a sacrifice to Gharv.

Because Yule and the others were convinced the boy Tormby did not deserve death for his crimes by either the law or a priest of the death god, on Oct. 1, 985 the party attempted to rescue him. Unfortunately, in the crypt remains of a temple outside Piercy, Tormsby, under the mind control of Gharvsmin, was killed by Heron during the fray. (See also, "Confronting Gharvsmin".)
